Direct Download (15.4 MB)

Francis X. Shen teaches the emerging field of Neuroscience and Law. He is a MacArthur Grant fellow and Professor at the University of Minnesota Law School. Professor Shen is co-authoring the first textbook on the subject. In it he explores the nuances of combining emerging neuroscientific research within existing legal framework.

In today's interview we explore the field itself. What does it mean to utilize emerging neuroscientific evidence in legal contexts? How does emerging research into how the brain works inform legal policy? Why hasn't this work been codified into a tangible field before?

Professor Shen explores these questions and more in this exciting interview.

During the interview Professor Shen mentions a few resources, including the Neuroscience boot camp held by University of Pennsylvania. Find out more here.
