In 2009, Megan Devine saw her life change when her partner unexpectedly drowned. She felt alone at a time when she couldn't bear to be alone. Everywhere she turned, she found a lack of support for a widow her age. The literature she read encouraged her to do away with pain. Nothing seemed to help.

Now Megan changes the misconceptions we have around grief. With her blog, support group, and audio programs, she helps people become comfortable in their own grief.

We discuss how Megan got started. Listen for the mindset that drives her past daily obstacles in doing the work. Also pay attention to the technique she uses to help her work be more intimate and personal.

  • Support: Join the 30 day writing course, or send the info to a friend in need. Pick up the audio course for someone in grief. Become a fan on the FB page.
  • Success Habit: Take time each day to re-root yourself into the "why" of what you're doing. Spend a few minutes thinking of what you're doing and how you're doing it, then reflect on whether that resonates with your heart. Sink below the surface.
