AOC 10 - The Key to Creating a Powerful Body of Work
How do you create a body of work that you're proud of?
We explore this question and more in today's interview with bestselling author, Pamela Slim.
Pamela worked for over 10 years as a business consultant to some of the world's top companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, and Charles Schwab. In 2005 Pamela started the blog Escape From Cubicle Nation, which is now a top blog and bestselling book by the same title.
In today's interview, we discuss the nuances of Pam's own body of work. Much of her work focuses on helping people do better work rather than blindly following their passion. Pam touches on a problem with our current understanding, including the need to start and see something through to the end. Listen in for insights to creating your own body of work.
- Support: Buy the book
- Success Habit: Start very small.
P.S. Pam noted it's important to start small since we become overwhelmed by too big goals. So instead, practice breaking big goals into smaller chunks. Like writing the Table of Contents for a book rather than the book itself. Then, make sure to regularly step back and acknowledge the work you've done, expressing gratitude for what you've accomplished.
